Hey Ruhani, why not starting by introducing yourself first?
-(Smile)- I am the Vice President at MOL.com which is the parent company of Friendster.com. My job scope includes social media, technology and trends research. Part of my job also is highly involved in MOL products. I’ve been to technology industry since 1991. Usually I am real fun if you get to know me .. I mean how many people actually dreams in code? I have a highly passion driven personality, beside my geek life I also have passion for photography, arts and astronomy.
1. What camera made you fall in love with photography and do you still have it?
Technically my first hands on was my DAD’s Zenit ET which is the 1965 model..
Extremely difficult to handle but superb optics. I was so little at that time that I can’t even remember how I handled it. My dad was over protective over the camera. The photos were like moments frozen in time. That was the first spark for me to think photography. Besides that the next actual camera I have first used was 2007 Fujifilm Finepix. I didn’t really like the photos of that point and shoot. Later on 2009 I got myself a Canon Powershot sx200is. I was pretty happy but soon enough I realized that I can’t make enough artistic photos with it. I upgraded to CANON EOS 1000d. Then I started to love what I do. I’ve taken many photos with that entry level DSLR and I had that camera till first quarter of 2010.
2. How did social Media change photography?
Social media brings real people from all around the world. The trick is how and when to tap on them. In general almost all people like photographs because it is artistic, simple an easy to understand. Social media plays a huge role on photography; enables you to reach the masses , showing off your work and most importantly share most useful tips and tricks from all around the world.
3. What makes you Click Click Click Click Click Click (stop now, noo waiiit) Click Click?
4. What is for you the most beautiful photograph you have ever taken? And what is the meaning of it?
5. Have you ever bought one of these throw away cameras and why or in what situation?
I didn’t because I couldn’t find a reason for that yet.
6. If you had to stop Taking/Editing Photography what would you do?
Making movies perhaps?
