The Love Motels industry which essentially was born in Japan just after World War II (Source) have now a growing annual turnover of 4 trillion yen. A style of hotels, which combines customs, taboos, dreams, fantasy, and finally a world where everything is allowed, is propagating in the 4 corners of the world. From East Asia to North America to South America. Though all the Love Motels are not alike. In Thailand in particular is much more the trashy side of it as it’s highlighted by murders, kidnapping, theft, as if prostitution is seen as almost a public service. While in Japan there are 5 stars Love Motels. The service is anonymous, the private staff car park, even the payment is done like an illuminati transaction. Chambers, theme suites (see photos below) are waiting for you. All offered for who needs to live this unique experience of love, rest, adultery, or whenever anonymity, the taboo and the fear of being tracked.
This video make you travel (in French though) in this “Forbidden” universe. I let you view it.
